Mrs. Rumsey

    The end of this year will mark 19 years of teaching, and 17 years of teaching at Salem.  I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies from Concordia University Irvine in 1994.  I accepted God's call to teach at Immanuel Lutheran School in Orange and two years later answered His call to teach 3rd grade at Salem.   I've spent the last 18 years in the first and third-grade classrooms.  In God's infinite wisdom, he has called me to be the 5th-grade teacher!  This is an exciting professional growth opportunity.  

   In addition to teaching, I am a mother! I enjoy spending time with my two beautiful daughters, Amelia (18) and Sydney (15).  I also love to read, watch movies, and travel.  I recently finished my Master's in Educational Technology at Concordia University.  I enjoy teaching with technology, learning new tools and implementing new strategies of learning. Teaching is certainly my passion as well as the call on my life.
